Abstract

Ilo 5 Trial License Key

I am experiencing the same problem on 3x DL380 G7 servers where it doesn’t want to allow the trail cd key. Although I could load this key successfully on one of the servers. Thirty days after installation, Kerio Connect Engine will be disabled. Kerio Antivirus engine cannot be updated for unregistered trial versions. Synchronization of.

After upgrading the listed products or Java environment, upon startup, there are no licenses shown on the JTS Administration License Key Management page.
The error 'CRJAZ1236I A development time license is being used' is displayed in the description. “Users with counted licenses” shows 0.
When users log in, no licenses are available for use.

Cause:

As of April 2017 in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/8u111-relnotes-3124969.html
and in IBM documentation https://developer.ibm.com/javasdk/support/security-vulnerabilities/#IBM_Security_Update_May_2017, both IBM and Oracle Java versions 6, 7, 8 (and beta 9 if supported) published that MD5 signed jar files would be blocked from loading to prevent usage of weak algorithms or keys.
All the licenses, including the internal server and internal trial user licenses such as the QM Data Collector, Data Collection Component Internal, CCM Data Collector, Enterprise Developer trial licenses, and client access licenses generated from the License Key Center use MD5 signatures. Licenses that worked prior to the upgrade are no longer listed. Any license files signed with MD5 will not be loaded by default.

The specific versions of the JVM/JRE/JDK affected are:

IBM 6.0.16.45 otherwise known as 6.0 SR16 FP45
IBM 6.1.8.45 otherwise known as 6.1 SR8 FP45
IBM 7.0.10.5 otherwise known as 7.0 SR4 FP5
IBM 7.1.4.5 otherwise known as 7.1 SR4 FP5
IBM 8.0.4.5 otherwise known as 8.0 SR4 FP5
Oracle 1.6.0_151
Oracle 1.7.0_141
Oracle 1.8.0_131

Workarounds and Solutions:

As of CLM 6.0.2 iFix015 (available Dec 14, 2017) and 6.0.3 iFix010 (available January 30, 2018) and 6.0.4 iFix007 (available Janaury 30, 2018), fixes for internal licenses affected by the new MD5 restriction are available. Ifixes for the versions are available on Fix Central and on jazz.net.
There are two steps required if the ifix solution is to be used:
1) Apply the entire iFix and follow the instructions in the readme.txt for the iFix. All internal licenses should function properly after this update.
2) In addition, external license keys will need to be renewed on the Rational License Key Center and re-installed.
Go to the Rational License Key Center at https://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing/ and download updated versions of the license keys. Follow these instructions based on the type of license installed on the system:

  • For Term (Floating or Authorized User) or Token licenses:

    1. Before upgrading, log in to the Jazz Team Server Admin at https://servername:port/jts/admin and go to Server > License Key Management. Make a note of the licenses installed on the server.

    2. Log in to the IBM Rational License Key Center at https://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing/ and under License Management, click Return Keys.
    3. Click the specific product link to return the license keys, and then click Return.
    4. After the license is returned, click Get Keys.
    5. Click the product link to generate the new licenses.
    6. When prompted, fill in the required information and click Generate.
    7. Download the new file that contains the new licenses.

Note: For Token licenses, the only requirement is to download the jazztokens.zip file. Because there are no changes in the license.dat file, this file is not required to be downloaded again.

    8. In the Jazz Team Server Admin, go to Server > License Key Management and reimport the new license files; click Add to add a license and accept the license agreement and complete the wizard.

Note: This step can also be performed after the server is upgraded.

  • For Non-Term (Permanent) Floating and Authorized User licenses:

    1. Before the upgrade, log in to Jazz Team Server Admin at https://servername:port/jts/admin and go to Server > License Key Management and make a note of the licenses installed on the server.

    2. Log in to the IBM Rational License Key Center at https://www-01.ibm.com/software/rational/support/licensing/ and go to View keys by host or View keys by user.
    3. Enter the information about the host or the user.
    4. Select the product for which to generate the license.
    5. Click View Licenses for Selected Product Lines.
    6. Select the license and click View Details.
    7. Click Download Keys.
    8. In Jazz Team Server Admin, go to Server > License Key Management and reimport the new license files; click Add to add a license and accept the license agreement and complete the wizard.
Note: This step can be performed after upgrading the server.

After installing the updated licenses, the product should be fully functional.

Note: After following the steps specified above, the license file that is generated and downloaded will have the same name as the original license you generated. The content was updated Nov 15, 2017 for all 5.0 and 6.0 licenses.
These licenses are compatible with all versions of Java -- those that now block MD5-signed files and the earlier versions that do not block MD5 content. Upgrading multiple servers that have different versions of 6.0.x and ifixes and use the same updated floating licenses should not cause a conflict.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the server and all affected applications can be upgraded to 6.0.5 and new licenses applied, the reported problem should not occur.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note: If some applications such as CCM, QM, or RDNG cannot be upgraded and run at a level that does not include the updated internal licenses, the primary JTS must use the workaround listed below until 6.0.5 or an ifix that corrects the license issue is applied to the lower level applications.
For example, if upgrading from 6.0.4 to 6.0.5 and only JTS is upgraded, any additional servers that run other applications such as CCM, QM, or RDNG that are still at the 6.0.4 level will still have an MD5 signature. These applications will not load. The primary JTS server must use the workaround listed below until 6.0.4 ifix007 (or 6.0.5) can be applied to the other applications. The primary JTS server loads the licenses and is responsible for checking authorization of the other applications.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If unable to upgrade to an ifix where this is resolved or 6.0.5, a temporary workaround by either editing the product or editing Java is provided. Please note that the recommendation is to upgrade the product with new licenses and the new RTC build. The workaround is provided when an upgrade or change in java level is not currently possible.

  • Temporary workaround forRational server running on Linux, Unix, Windows:
To resolve as a temporary workaround through Java whether being used by the application server or as stand-alone JVM for distributed (Linux, Unix, and Windows) products:
    • 1. Log in to the application server that was upgraded. Stop the application server and the applications.
      2. Go to the jre/lib/security directory. 3. Edit the java.security file.
      4. Search the file for jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms. 5. Remove the MD5 entry such as jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, RSA keySize < 1024
      6. Save the file.
      7. Restart the application server.
      8. Repeat steps 1-7 on each server where applications are installed.
      9. Log back into the JTS Administration page as an administrator and check the JTS License Key Management page.
      a. If the installation is in WebSphere Application Server, go to
      <WAS_Install_Dir>/AppServer/java_<version>/jre/lib/security
where java_<version> is similar to java_1.8.64
      b. If the installation is using a Liberty or Tomcat installation, go to <CLM_Install_Dir>/server/jre/lib/security
The entry to review is jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, MD5, RSA keySize < 1024
All licenses should be shown and users should be able to connect with no license errors.
  • Temporary workaround for Rational server running on z/os:
Onz/OS, there are several options for a workaround to resolve the issue based on whether or not Liberty or WebSphere Application Server is being used.
    1. If Liberty is being used, edit the java.security file directly in the java installation directory referenced by the Liberty server.
It is therefore possible to :
    - perform a similar edit as in #1 in the java directory imbedded in the WAS install or
    - add this edited property to WAS_HOME/properties/java.security. Note that this java.security file is by default a symbolic link to the WAS install directory.
It is possible to make a local file copy in the WAS profile to replace the symbolic link and then just make edits in the local copy.
    a. Stop the application server and the RTC applications.
    b. Go to the …java/lib/security/java.security file in the common install directory, such as /usr/lpp/java/J7.1_64/lib/security/java.security
    c. Edit the java.security file.
    d. Search the file for jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms.
The entry to review is jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, MD5, RSA keySize < 1024
    e. Remove the MD5 entry such as jdk.jar.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, RSA keySize < 1024
    f. Save the file.
    g. Restart the application server.
    2. With Liberty, if option one is not feasible, create a copy of java.security and point java.options to the edited file.
    a. Make a copy of java.security and save the file somewhere on the system, for example etc/jazz603.
    b. Ensure the User Id under which the server runs has read and execute permissions to this file.
    c. Edit the file as described above in #1.
    d. Save java.security.
    e. If your system is using Liberty, edit the jvm.options file in the /u/jazz603/wlpuser/servers/clmserver directory (or the appropriate directory for your Liberty server and work directory structure).
Add an entry such as -Djava.security.properties=file:///etc/jazz603/java.security that points to the updated java.security file.
    f. Restart the server.
    3. With WebSphere Application Server, the java.security file in the WebSphere java directory is supplemented by a java.security file in the application server profile itself.

  • Temporary workaround for Rational server running on IBM i:

To resolve as a temporary workaround through Java whether being used by the application server or as standalone JVM for the product installed on IBM i:
    1. Log in to the application server that was upgraded. Stop the application server and the applications.
    2. Identify the specific JVM being used by the server by opening JTS Administration page as Jazz Admin and go to Server/Server Status/Server VM and note the version and bit type of the JVM used.
    3. Go to the WAS Admin and open WebSphere application servers/[RTC_AppServerName]/Java SDKs. Note the one that is set to true.
Copy the path under the active JVM.
On IBM i, this will be /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/[jdk version]/[32 or 64bit]/jre/lib
    4. Connect to the IBM i and navigate to /QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/[jdk version]/[32 or 64bit]/jre/lib/security/java.security
    5. With wrklnk edit the java.security file.
    6. Search the file for jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms
    jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, MD5, RSA keySize < 1024
    7. Remove the MD5 entry such as
    jdk.tls.disabledAlgorithms=MD2, RSA keySize < 1024
    8. Save the file.
    9. Repeat steps 1-8 on each server where applications are installed.
    10. Restart the application server.
    11. Log back into the JTS Administration page as an administrator and check the JTS Administration License Key Management page. All licenses should be shown and users should be able to connect with no license errors.

If you want to download and install Office 2013 or Office for Mac 2011, see Install Office 2013 on a PC or Install Office for Mac 2011.

How do I reinstall Office?

If you're reinstalling Office on a different computer than the one where you originally installed Office, note the following:

  • For Office 365 subscriptions: You can install Office on all your devices and sign in to Office on five devices at the same time.

  • For a one-time purchase of Office 2016 such as Office Home & Business, Office Home & Student, or Office Professional: You can install Office on only 1 PC or Mac. However, you may transfer Office 2016 (or Office 2013) to another computer that belongs to you if you experience a hardware failure or you buy a new computer. For more information, see the Microsoft License Terms for your product, or see this blog post, Office now transferable.

When you're ready to reinstall Office, sign in at https://www.office.com/signin with the same Microsoft account you originally associated with your Office product when you first installed it. You can also find installation steps here:

For the latest version of Office, see Install Office on your PC or Mac.

    Office 365 Office 2019 Office 2016 Office 2013 Office 2010 Office 2007

If Office still won't install, check that your computer meets the system requirements to install Office. For example, you can't install Office on computers running Windows XP or Windows Vista.

If you're still unable to install Office following the steps in Download and install or reinstall Office try using the offline installer.

The Office offline installer may help bypass potential proxy, firewall, antivirus, or Internet connection issues that might occur during an Office installation.

For steps to install an offline version of Office, see Use the Office offline installer and select the correct tab for your version of Office.

Computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP don't meet system requirements to install Office

You can't install Office 2016 or Office 2013 on computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP as these operating systems don't meet the system requirements for Office. Attempting to install Office on a computer running an unsupported operating system will result in an error. (If you're interested in learning more about the latest version of Windows, see Windows 10 specifications for details.)

If your computer can't install the full desktop version of Office because your computer doesn't meet the system requirements, you can try using Office Online in your computer's browser. See the supported browser section on the system requirements page.

Can I install Office on a Chromebook?

You can't install the desktop PC or Mac versions of Office on your Chromebook, but depending on your Chromebook you may be able to install the Office mobile apps. See Install Microsoft Office on a Chromebook.

You don't want to install all the Office applications

When you install Office 2016 or Office 2013, all the applications that came with your particular Office product is installed at the same time. You can’t custom select which Office applications you want to install or not install, nor you can't delete individual applications after your installation is complete. However, you can delete shortcuts to applications you don’t plan to use.

Tip: If you discover you need an application that didn't come with your Office product, you have the option to purchase a stand-alone application. For example, you may decide you need Access or Outlook, but those applications weren't included in your product. To purchase a stand-alone application, go to https://products.office.com/ and do a search for the app you want to buy.

You want to install Office on a drive other than the C: drive

You can only install Office on the system drive where your operating system is installed. That’s usually your C: drive.

Install the 64-bit version of Office instead of the 32-bit version

You may get an error if you try to install the 64-bit version of Office and you currently have the 32-bit version installed (or vice versa).

Therefore, if you previously installed the 32-bit version of Office on your PC, but decide you now want the 64-bit version, or vice versa, you'll have to uninstall the bit version you don't want and then reinstall the bit version you do want instead. Use this easy fix to uninstall Office.

  1. Click this easy fix button to uninstall Office.

  2. Select your browser from the drop-down list to see how to save and then launch the file.

    • Select your browser
    1. At the bottom of the browser window, select Save.

    2. In the next box that indicates o15-ctrremove.diagcab is finished downloading, click Open.

    3. The Uninstall Office wizard launches. Select Next and follow the prompts.

    4. When you see the Uninstallation successful screen, follow the prompt to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

    1. At the bottom of the browser window, select Open to open the O15CTRRemove.diagcab file.

If the file doesn’t open automatically, choose Save > Open Folder, and then double-click the file (it should start with 'O15CTRRemove') to run the easy fix tool.

    2. The Uninstall Microsoft Office wizard launches. Select Next and follow the prompts.

    3. When you see the Uninstallation successful screen, follow the prompt to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Select Next.

    1. In the lower-lower left corner select the o15CTRRemove file and from the drop down, select Show in folder.

Double-click the download, o15CTRRemove to run the easy fix tool.

    2. The Uninstall Microsoft Office wizard launches. Select Next and follow the prompts.

    3. When you see the Uninstallation successful screen, follow the prompt to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Select Next.

    1. Select Save File, and then OK.

In the upper-right browser window, select Show all downloads. In the Library, select Downloads > O15CTRRemove.diagcab, and then select the folder icon. Double-click the O15CTRRemove.diagcab.

    2. The Uninstall Microsoft Office wizard launches. Select Next and follow the prompts.

    3. When you see the Uninstallation successful screen, follow the prompt to restart your computer for the changes to take effect. Select Next.

If you're looking for the steps to install the 64-bit version of Office, see the section, Step 1: Sign in to download Office.

For Office 2013, see Install Office 2013 on a PC.

You don't want to install all the Office applications

When you install Office 365, all the applications that came with your particular Office product is installed at the same time.

To purchase a stand-alone application, go to https://products.office.com/ and do a search for the stand-alone app you want to buy.

You want to install Office on a drive other than the C: drive

You can only install Office on the system drive where your operating system is installed. That’s usually your C: drive.

For steps to install an offline version of Office, see Use the Office offline installer and select the correct tab for your version of Office.

You can't install Access

If you can't find Access on your computer even though its included with your Office 365 subscription, try the following in the order listed.

Note: Access can only be installed on computers running Windows 7 or later. You can't install Access on a Mac.

Update Office

  1. Open an Office application, such as Word or Excel and create a new document.

  2. From the ribbon, select File > Account.

  3. Under the Product Information section, select Update Options > Update Now.

  4. When the update is complete, click Start and look for Access in your list of apps.

You don't see an option to install Office, check if you have a license

  1. If you're not already signed in, go to http://admin.microsoft.com and sign in with your work or school account.

Note: If you're unable to sign in with your work or school account, you may be signing in to the wrong Office 365 service, see Where to sign in to Office 365.

  2. From the browser header, go to Settings > My app settings > Office 365.

  3. On the My account page, select Subscriptions.

You’ll see the services that you're licensed to use, such as the latest desktop version of Office, SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online. If you don't see The latest desktop version of Office in the list (or Project or Visio if your organization has a plan that includes those applications) your admin probably hasn't assigned an Office license to you. If you're an admin, see Assign licenses to users in Office 365 for business. For more information, see What Office 365 business product or license do I have?

If you have a license, then you're ready to Install Office on your PC or Mac, (or Project Online Desktop Client or Visio Pro for Office 365).

Not all Office 365 subscription plans come with the fully installed Office applications. See the bottom of the Office for business column for a list of plans that don't include the Office desktop client. If your organization has one of these Office 365 plans, the Office 365 admin can switch to a different Office 365 plan or subscription or buy another Office 365 for business subscription for users in an organization who require the full version of Office.

If you're an admin and you aren't sure what plan you have, follow the steps in What Office 365 for business subscription do I have? For a comparison of plans, see compare small business plans or compare enterprise plans.

You're a student or teacher and don't see an option to install Office

If you're a student or teacher and don't see an option to install Office, you may be eligible for Office 365 Education, which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. All you need to get started is a valid school email address. For more information, see Get Office 365 for free.

Be sure to check the System requirements for Office. For example, you can't install Office on computers running Windows Vista or Windows XP, or on devices that aren't running a supported Windows or Mac operating system. However, you may still be able to use Office Online in your computer's browser.

You get a KERNEL32.dll error when trying to install Office and other system requirement issues

Check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements to install Office. See System requirements for Office for a list of additional requirements.

If you're trying to install Office on a computer running Windows XP or Windows Vista, you may get an error that says the dynamic library KERNEL 32.dll can't be located. This occurs because newer versions of Office aren't supported on these versions of Windows. For more information, see Why can’t I install Office 2013 or Office 2016 on Windows XP or Windows Vista?

If you're not sure which operating system you have, see Which Windows operating system am I running? or Find the OS X version and build number on your Mac.

If your computer can't install the full desktop version of Office because it doesn't meet the system requirements, you can try using Office Online in your computer's browser.

I get a 'Stop, you should wait to install Office 2016' error

If you connect to an Exchange 2007 mailbox (which reached End of Life on April 11, 2017), you might want to stay on Office 2013 until you upgrade from Exchange 2007. See the following:

Ilo 5 license key

I'm an Office 365 admin and don't have an option to install Office, Project, or Visio

When you first sign up for Office 365 for business and you try to install Office (or Project or Visio if you also have a subscription for those apps) you might see a message that says you can't install Office because you don't have a license. This could happen because of a delay between your initial sign in and Office 365 for business setting up your environment. Try signing out of Office 365 and then signing back in.

It could also happen because you haven't assigned a license to yourself or your users. Do the following to check your licenses.

Check that you have a license

You’ll see the services that you're licensed to use, such as the latest desktop version of Office, Project, Visio, SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business, and Exchange Online. If you don't see The latest desktop version of Office in the list (or Project or Visio if you bought plans with those applications), see Assign licenses to users in Office 365 for business.

Not all Office 365 subscription plans come with the fully installed Office applications. See the bottom of the Office for business column for a list of those plans that don't include an installed version of Office. If your organization has one of these Office 365 plans, as the admin, you can switch to a different Office 365 plan or subscription, or in addition to the subscription you already have, buy another Office 365 for business subscription for those users who require the full version of Office.

If you're not sure what plan you have, follow the steps in What Office 365 for business subscription do I have? For a comparison of plans, see Office for business.

I recently switched Office 365 plans and now get messages I can't use Office

If you or the users in your organization see Account Notice or Unlicensed product errors in Office, they need to install the version of Office that comes with the new Office 365 plan, and then uninstall the version that came with the previous plan. Learn how in “Account Notice” appears in Office after switching Office 365 plans.

Office is taking very long to install

If you or your users find Office is taking a very long time to install, try installing using an offline installation. See Use the Office 2016 offline installer and select the Office for business tab. These steps show you how to download the installer file which you can then use to install Office offline on a PC at your convenience.

How do I install the latest version of Office on more than five computers?

You can activate Office on up to five computers per user. If a user needs to install Office on a sixth computer, you have to deactivate an installation. Deactivation doesn't remove Office from the computer, but you can't use Office on that computer until you activate it. See Deactivate Office 365 if you see a 'limit reached' error.

How do I get the rest of my organization set up with Office 365 for business?

To help you set up your organization, see Set up Office 365 for business – Admin Help.

Upgrade users in my organization to the latest version of Office

If individuals in your organization are using an older version of Office, we recommend you upgrade to the latest version. See Upgrade users to the latest Office client.

How do I deploy Office to multiple computers in my organization?

If you’re an IT Pro and you want to deploy Office in your organization, use the Office Deployment Tool to download the Office software to your local network. You then deploy Office by using the software deployment method you typically use.

You can also choose to have users sign into the Office 365 portal with their work or school account and follow the steps in Install Office on your PC or Mac to install Office themselves.

How do I manage licenses for people in my organization?

Users need licenses to install Office and to use Outlook, SharePoint Online, Lync Online, and other services. As the Office 365 for business admin, you're responsible for Managing user software in Office 365. You assign licenses to new users when creating new accounts, or add licenses to existing users, see Assign licenses to users in Office 365 for business. To remove licenses from users, see Remove licenses from users in Office 365 for business.

If you need more licenses, see Buy licenses for your Office 365 for business subscription. To remove a license from your subscription, see Remove licenses from your Office 365 for business subscription.

Activate volume license editions of Office

There are two types of activation methods for volume editions of Microsoft Office: Multiple Activation Key (MAK) and Key Management Service (KMS). For help activating these editions, see Activate volume editions of Office.
