Sound Of Confusion Spacemen 3 Rat
Fire Records has announced a 'comprehensive reissue campaign' for psych explorers Spacemen 3, the seminal druggy alt rock band anchored by Pete Kember (aka Sonic Boom) and Jason Pierce (of Spiritualized). They'll release the first three installments on May 14, including Spacemen 3's 1986 debut Sound of Confusion, 1987's The Perfect Prescription, and the 1988 live album Performance.
The reissues keep the original tracklistings intact and come on 180-gram colored vinyl.
Sound of Confusion:
Polderbits Sound Recorder to capture audio in WAV and to balance left and right audio channels. Wavepad to split tracks and removes beginnings and ends of the tape. A total of just under 40 minutes of actual recorded music, packaged in a cardboard CD sleeve, not even a case, for $13.74 plus shipping is not the hottest deal in town right now. On the other hand, this is Spacemen 3’s first album and is essential listening for any fan.
