2. On Windows XP, open System. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, click on: System and Security > System > Advanced System Settings (in the list to the left).
3. Click on the Advanced tab. Then, select Performance under Settings.
4. Performance Options will pop up. Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab. Make sure “Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only” is selected.
5. Click OK, restart your computer, and run the Installation Helper again.
