GOOGLE PLAY STORE FOR BLACKBERRY DEVICES
Long time it seemed to be impossible to install a fully functional version of the original Google Play Store on a BlackBerry device. Those days are over. I proudly present the Google Play store, with all the bells and whistles.
Disclaimer: This is a modified/patched software. It is provided 'as is', without warranty of any kind. Applied modifications: Rewrite of downloader code, rewrite of app installation/uninstallation code. Patch to prevent GMS core updates. Patch to prevent selfupdate. The purchasing part is UNTOUCHED.

HOW TO INSTALL
Download the 3 files listed below to your Blackberry device by clicking on the download links. Then install and run the files in the described order.
Step 1: Add a Google system account to your device
Install com.google.android.gsf.login. Run the app and login with your Google credentials. The app will close (minimize) if the step completed successfully. You should now be able to see your Google account in Blackberry Settings -> Accounts -> Third Party Accounts.
Step 2: Register your device with Google Play
Install cobalt.blackberry.googleID. Run the app and register your device with Google Play. Close the app after successfull registration.
Step 3: Install Google Play Store
Install com.android.vending. Run and enjoy the Play Store!
All 3 apps MUST remain installed on your device otherwise Google Play store will not work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)
Play Store is crashing when I'm trying to download or update an app
Remove (uninstall) Play Store from the device and install the new build 2 version from the file share. Do NOT update the new version over the old one!
Does this work on any device?
Play Store works on any Blackberry device running OS 10.3 or better. OS 10.2.x is not supported.
I can't login with Google Account Manager
Assuming that you have entered the correct password, you now have the following options:
1) Turn OFF 2-Step Verification for your Google account here: Google Account settings. Then enter your normal Google email password to login. This is the easiest way to get it running.
2) If you want to use 2-Step Verification with your Google Account, you'll have to create an app specific password for the Google Login app and then use that password to login.
I'm seeing the message 'Error while retrieving information from server [DF-DFERH-01]'
This error may occour if Google changes something on their servers and the Play Store app did not sync correctly. It is a well know issue that also happens on Android devices. To fix this problem, go to Blackberry Settings -> App Manager -> Device Monitor -> Storage -> Play Store and click on 'Clear Data'. This will clear the cache and fix the problem.
I downloaded an app from Play Store and now it's asking for Google Play Services
Google Play services is a Framework that is provided by Google to help developers to speed up and simplify app development. Some apps that you download from Play Store may require Google Play services (mostly apps from Google, apps that display some kind of geographic map and apps that require Google+ login). I have access to multiple Calendars in Outlook. Some of them are shared Calendars from managers and colleagues.
To maintain my overview, I currently copy their content to a separate combined calendar. Obviously, this is quite error prone and cumbersome.
Is there any way to automate this process or a better way to create a single merged Calendar?
When I hear people talking about duplicating data within their own Outlook configuration, I always cringe a bit.

Usually, there is a much better way to do this but often the option to do so isn’t easily discoverable or you might not have been aware that Outlook could do it in the first place.
In the Calendar, “Overlay Mode” is such a hidden gem by which you can solve the above issue with ease.
Overlay Mode and Side-by-Side Calendars
Overlay Mode was first introduced in Outlook 2007 after Outlook 2003 introduced Side-by-Side Calendars.
Side-by-Side Calendars is the feature which lets you select multiple Calendars when you are in the Calendar Navigation (CTRL+2) simply by clicking the checkbox in front of the Calendar.
Overlay Mode is the feature where you can actually place these Calendar “on top of each other” to create a aggregated view which looks like a single Calendar.

View-> View in Overlay Mode - Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016
tab View-> option group: Arrangement-> button: Overlay
Another way to do this would be to press the arrow icon tab is shown at the top of each Calendar tab (next to the name). This allows you to combine some Calendars and to view others side-by-side.
The arrow buttons on the tabs allow you to combine the selected Calendars.
With the Overlay Mode feature, you can turn multiple Calendars into one.

Sync Calendars anyway
In some case, creating a single combined Calendar folder might still be best. Especially when it comes to exporting and publishing scenarios.
To automate this, there are several add-ins available. CodeTwo offers various add-ins for this, each optimized for a specific scenario or environment:

With this add-in you can create a folder pair which will have a 2-way sync, meaning that the contents of the folders will always be the same. - CodeTwo Exchange Sync

This can be a 1-way sync as well which for instance allows you to create aggregated group calendars where the content can be tagged and filtered during the sync process. - Code Two Sync for iCloud (free)
This add-in is specifically created for iCloud users. Rather than having your Calendar, Contacts and Tasks stored in the special iCloud folder separate from the rest of your folders, you can let them sync automatically instead.
Now you don’t have to jump between folders anymore, reminders and other Outlook features will work again while they also remain accessible to you on your iPhone and/or iPad.
